New RIDE App Provides Enhance Services
A local ten year navy veteran has spent the past year developing a new custom RIDE application for 29-PSP. We are taking a major step forward to better serve our active service members and their loved ones at the MAGTF Training Command/Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms. It takes about 15 minutes from start to finish to process one ride request manualy by the 100% volunteer team. For the 3,500 rides provided during the past thirty months, the team has spent over 525 hours. The new system can cut the processing time by 75% to improve communications, save on resources and volunteers.
Scott Felton has donated hundreds of hours to develop a custom RIDE app for us to streamline, track, manage, and speed up how we process ride requests. This means faster response times, easier booking, quick access to ride information, less paperwork, and detailed reporting. We are proud to leverage technology to help break down transportation barriers and move our mission forward.
